Saraswati Education Society awards self-defence trained women
A 15 day long programme on women self-defence run by Sarswati Education Society in association with DCW and Delhi police came to an end on a successful note here. In this programme 40 women participated with great gusto and enthusiasm.
Women who took part in the workshop were trained with skills of self-defense in times of adversity. Present on this occasion were member of DCW Sarika Chaudhary, and SDM Preet Vihar Arun Gupta who gave away the awards, mementos and certificates to the participants.
In her address, Ms Chaudhary emphasised the importance of higher education, that will dispel the darkness and show the women the right path to pave. Education will help them fight for their rights and justice.
They can even awaken the society as well. She added on.
Arun Gupta addressed the gathering placing stress on education, the prominent key to a better tomorrow. He in his address said, ‘the today’s women must be mentally and physically fit so that they can face any odd situation and handle the tough times with ease.
Veteran journalist Pradeep Mahajan, educationist and writer Sufi Syed Wajid, senior journalist and advocate Avneesh Chaudhary and Senior journalist Rajeev Nishana stressed the need of education for women.
Founder chairman of SES Amit Mishra who convened and organised the event boosted the morale of the women. He in his address spoke, ‘women shouldn’t suffer in silence, they must fight back.
Dr. Ekta,Sunita,Pooja,Neha and Meenakshi Sharma were also present on the occasion.
