Jewellery shop robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight
Crime in East Delhi has been spiralling up for quite some time. Criminals appear fearless,in a tearing hurry they do not even wait for the dark to descend. They commit crime at will.
3 robbers armed with weapons barged into an East Delhi’s jewellery shop, covered everyone inside the shop at gunpoint and decamped with jewellery worth lakh of rupees and DVR (Digital Video Recorder). One of them was standing guard outside the shop.
They comfortably took 8 to 10 minutes to execute the daring act and fled in a car. The news flashed across the district in seconds. Senior officials also rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation.
It is believed that the robbers four in number recceed the targetted newly opened showroom before commission of crime.
The victim Saurav’s brother Gaurav said that they came in Wagon R car and looted jewellery worth rupees 50 lakh. Saurav and his wife Priyanka were there at the shop around 12 this afternoon when the crime was commissioned.
‘We have registered the case and initiated the investigation. We will soon arrest them. Our teams have started working,taking help from CCTV footage as well.’ DCP East district Pankaj Singh said.
The case has been registered and investigation is on. The police are still clueless.
