Delhi becomes Rape Capital

Rape cases lately on the rise have sent shock waves across the city as if there is no safety left for girls.
In a short span of few days, a number of horrific incidents of sexual assault on school going girls have been reported. Mayur Vihar and Krishna Nagar rape cases are not too stale, now Seemapuri has happened that has stunned the Delhiites to the core. They are literally helpless and terribly shell-shocked.
A seven year old child was brutally raped in Northeastern district’s Seemapuri by a 22 year old man who lived in the same neighborhood. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where her condition is stated to be stable.
Though the police have nabbed him yet the city denizens feel the pinch of insecurity.
It’s learnt that the accused tried to insert some hard object into her private part. The police ruled out any such possibility.
The case has been registered under POCSO Act. Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012.
